sojourn: a temporary stay; stop; stop over; vacation
This was my second Lantern Parade in UP Diliman, and by golly I enjoyed it even more this year.
Read more about it here in the article of Tinig ng Plaridel where some of my shots were used.
As I was looking for a parking spot, I saw Marko walking along the road. So I picked him up and we decided to walk around the academic oval together.

(above) “Klayre’s here somewhere,” said Marko (right) while taking a video of the parade. Then suddenly Klayre (left) appeared out of nowhere. Perfect timing!

Sjay was there too! (above)

This girl really reminded me of my friend, Almira (below).

I love this shot. It looks just like a McDonald’s commercial (below).

CMC freshies, JM and Yski, ready to march with our college “lantern” (below).

Zorro! (above).

And of course Marko just had to take a picture with him (above), though I don’t think Zorro was too pleased (below). HAHA!

My best shot of the day (below).

As we were walking towards AS I saw my friend and noticed her cute headband. So as she was sitting by the curb, I stood beside her and tried to take her from above. It was kinda difficult because I’m a tad bit short… at least I got the shot (below).

My AIESEC org mates (above & below).

RH Bill advocates (below).

Asian Institute of Tourism (below).

College of Human Kinetics (below).

Forgot what college…. (below).

Our Dean, from the College of Mass Communication (below).

College of Music (below).

Again, I forgot what college (below).

My friend and former classmate, Alma Concepcion, modeling (I guess that’s what you call it.. or probably “being a muse” is more appropriate) for the College of Home Economics (below).

My lovely “twin”, Alex, was also with her (below, right).

Another AIESEC friend, Tisa (below).

Now this is me covering the event, while the rest of the world was enjoying the parade. I look harassed. This was taken by my classmate, Jodesz (below).

Well that wasn’t entirely true. In the middle of the parade, I decided that I had enough shots so I just sat down on the road with my friends, Nikki and etc. That’s why I don’t have shots of the Fine Arts lanterns that paraded along AS later in the evening.
It was at that time when I realized, sometimes there are perks to being a mere spectator in the sidelines.
